Our Mission
Sweetland Farm's mission is to inform and enlighten our customers about the healthy, traditional and organic farming methods used on our farm, so that our customers can know and trust in the integrity of our products on a personal level. We take to heart the responsibility of environmental stewardship, humane care of our animals, and producing safe, nutritious for people.

| Humanely Raised Livestock Fresh air, Sunshine and Outdoors! At Sweetland we take the art of raising livestock seriously. This means, with compassion for the animal and doing what is right to give each of our animals the best life possible while in our care. We use the following methods on our farm:

- Grazing! Our cows graze green pastures from spring to fall and eat stored hay during the winter months.
- Free Ranging...
- All of our chickens and other poultry flocks are free ranged throughout the year. Yes, even in the wintertime, you'll see our hens outside on nice days.
- 100% Certified Organic Feed This means no chemicals, antibiotics, hormones, GMO's (genetically modified organisms) or animal by-products in our feed.
- Animals Raised in Small Groups to reduce the stress on the animals and allow natural behavior.
- Environmental Stewardship... We protect our soils and keep the water clean. Our lush. diverse pastures support a lot of grassland bird spicies and other wildlife.
- Organic Soil Management... We apply our own organic compost and do not use ANY artificial chemicals, pesticides or genetically altered seed (GMO's).

Sweetland Farm has been farming organically since 1996 and is Certified Organic through M.O.S.A. (Midwest Organic Services Association). We offer farm shares which give you access to our wholesome products.
